Przepis na ciasteczka piernikowe

Każda szkoła ma za zadanie ugotować lub upiec jedną tradycyjną potrawę z przepisów otrzymanych od szkoły partnerskiej. Oto przepis, który nasza szkoła otrzymała.

GINGERBREAD FIGURES 
 
  • 50 dkg smooth flour
  • 25 dkg sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 10 dkg butter
  • 2 spoons of honey
  • 1 big spoon of ginger bread spice
  • ½ spoon of baking soda
  1. In a small bowl put together flour, baking soda and gingerbread spice.
  2. In a large bowl beat melted butter, brown sugar, honey and eggs on medium speed until well blended.
  3. Stir in dry ingredients until blended and smooth.
  4. Preheat oven to 160 deg. Prepare baking sheets by lining with parchment paper.
  5. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface.
  6. Sprinkle flour over dough and rolling pin.
  7. Roll dough to a scant 5mm thick.
  8. Use additional flour to avoid sticking.
  9. Cut out cookies with desired cutter-- the ginger bread man is our favourite of course.
  10. Bake at a time for 7-10 minutes (the lower time will give you softer cookies -- very good!).
  11. After cookies are cool you may decorate them any way you like, usually brush them with a powdered sugar glaze.
